Very Low Moisture (VLM) carpet cleaning is a method that uses minimal water during the cleaning process. It typically involves the application of a specialized cleaning solution and the use of absorbent pads or brushes to agitate and lift dirt from the carpet fibers.
VLM cleaning is known for its quick drying time and is often preferred for maintenance cleaning in commercial settings. It can be effective for routine cleaning tasks and is considered more environmentally friendly due to reduced water usage compared to traditional steam cleaning methods. It’s an efficient and environmentally friendly option for routine carpet maintenance. No loud machines, entrance doors can be closed and locked for safety, and fast dry times.
Here are the steps we take in our process.
Pre-inspection: Assess the carpet’s condition and identify any specific areas that may require special attention or treatment.
Dry Soil Removal: Use a vacuum or other dry soil removal methods to eliminate loose dirt and debris from the carpet surface.
Pre-treatment: Apply a specialized cleaning solution or encapsulation product to the carpet fibers. This solution is designed to break down and encapsulate dirt and stains.
Agitation: Agitate the carpet fibers using brushes, pads, or another mechanical agitating device. This helps the cleaning solution reach deep into the carpet and agitates dirt for easier removal.
Extraction or Absorption: Depending on the method used, either extract the encapsulated dirt and cleaning solution with a low-moisture extractor or allow the carpet to dry, with dirt encapsulated in crystals for later vacuuming.
Post-inspection: Evaluate the cleanliness of the carpet and address any remaining spots or stains if necessary.
